Describe two majors/Bulletin Exercise

Describe two majors (information from the Bulletin) that you have considered or are considering. Be sure and include information about required courses (particularly upper level courses), what is involved with the major, what careers it might lead to and whether or not you can declare for it or you have to be admitted. This information comes from the ASU Undergraduate Bulletin which is online. Choose the Bulletin that you fall under the year you started ASU.

Two Majors I Am Considering 

The first major that I am considering is a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Media. The major requirements are Media Grammar and Style, Mass Communications in Modern Society, Media Writing, Intro to Visual Communications, Multimedia Production, Professional Seminar, Communications Research, Communication Law and Ethics, Multimedia Storytelling, and Media Management and Entrepreneurship. With this major I will need to have noble writing skills and good communication. A few careers that this degree will open me up for are Sportscaster, Sports Reporting, Sports Producer, Sports Director, Technical Crew Member, Cable Assistant, On Air Talent, Sports Anchor. This degree is something you declare and not part of a program. The second major that I am considering is a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. The major requirements are Social Theory, Social Statistics, Methods of Social Research, A Foreign Language, Social Problems, and Global Awareness/ World Cultures. With this major I will need to have good understanding and communications skill. A few careers that this degree will open me up for are any kind of Social Services; Rehabilitation, Case Management, Youth/Elderly services,  Child Care, even with further training, law enforcement. This degree is something you declare and is not part of a program.
