Describe the reform controversy of equity in school funding of Chicago public schools and identity if the reform reflects historic debates about the purposes of schooling and the role of the teacher in a democratic society. You must also analyze whether the reform discussed promotes or undermines social and educational equality with respect to race, class, gender, language, culture, disability, or other aspects of social inequality.
