Chemical disaster

What I am looking for is that you know how to react during a chemical disaster. What will be your role as a healthcare professional? Example, you are to think about the fact that you are the office manager, and you have been told to create a new policy or process for your office and staff to follow in the event of an emergency; think about injuries, chemical spills, and airborne contaminants. You may make up the names of your staff. Please make sure you assign each member a task to have completed in the event of an emergency: Such as who is to call 911? Who will be responsible for making sure the patients are out of the office and safe? Who would be responsible for making sure all the equipment is turned off and unplugged? Etc.

A tabletop mock exposure event is just the steps you or your facility would need to take for your own safety and the safety of your patients or co-workers. You can include MSDS information, decontamination information or any type of biohazard pictures.

Use your Internet source and search for "chemical disaster plan,” you should be able to read all the information needed for this assignment. You can do your report about any spill in your facility or location around your chosen organization. Think about what would be spilled and how to control this.
