Choose a species and title your discussion board with the common name and proper scientific name of the species; example: Polar bear (Ursus maritimus). It can be an animal, plant, fungus, protist, bacteria, whatever you want. 

For the body of your post, tell us about your species AND give an example of how your chosen species exhibits  each characteristic of life (include as many as possible). One example:

Growth and Development: Polar bears are pregnant for about 8 months, they reach maturity at 3-5 years, weigh 600-1200 lbs. and live 15-30 years. PLEASE DO WRITE LONGER AS THIS IS ONLY EXAMPLE
