Chapter 6: Discussion - Test Taking

Success in a Math course can start even before you sit in the classroom.

For this discussion, you will:

1. Research three links on the Web that provide useful strategies for dealing with math test anxiety. Paste the links to the discussion board.  {Please format these links so that they open in a new web page.  That way students can look at your work and then return to our course.
2. Describe what you've found on these websites that you believe will help you with math test anxiety.  (Please do not post the Web content.)
3. Describe at least three techniques for dealing with your thoughts related to math test anxiety.
4. Which strategies do you think will work for you (from your websites or from others' websites) and why?
5. Describe at least three techniques for dealing with your thoughts related to math test anxiety or other subject areas (such as public speaking). 
6. Experiment with some of the strategies that other students have written about.  Let us know which of these strategies will work for you. 
7. Please comment on your classmates' postings and offer comments on mastering math successfully.
