A teacher’s philosophy of teaching and learning is often exemplified in how he or she organizes the classroom, by the types of instructional strategies he or she implements, and by the role that assessment takes within the classroom.
Discussion Question: Think about how the case study in Chapter 1 gives insight into Wendy’s philosophy on teaching and learning. Describe what her philosophy might be as a literacy teacher. Use evidence from Chapter 1 to support your response.
