Mergers and Acquisitions may fail to produce anticipated results because cost savings may prove to be smaller than expected, and the efforts to mesh the corporate cultures can stall due to formidable resistance from organization members, causing critical employees at the acquitted company to become unhappy and leave the company quickly; and the morale of the company can become incredibly low, as well as differences in management styles causing issues and hard to resolve.
