Begin by reading the article on Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, known as “El Mencho,” and suspected leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNC). He is Mexico’s Most Wanted Man.

For this Case Study, address the following:

1.  How would you classify CJNC:

a.  Traditional Criminal Enterprise?

b.  Criminal-Political Enterprise?

c.  Justify your reason, using the Martin text, Chapter 9.

2.  Crime and politics are often intertwined. How is CJNC, the Mexican Government, and the U.S. Government all entangled here?
