Parole Decision Making

1. If you had been a member of the parole board, how would you have voted in this case, and why?
2. As you read this chapter, explain why you believe justice was or was not served in Simpson’s cases, whether he poses a risk to the community upon being paroled, and whether parole and probation generally serve the purpose of rehabilitation.
3. At his parole hearing, Simpson requested permission to move from Nevada to Florida, where some of his family members reside. What are the benefits and drawbacks of allowing Simpson to leave Nevada?
