Case 2 - Gross Profit-1

Briefly discuss the elements of the fraud triangle as they relate to the ACS case.  Discuss the internal control weaknesses found at the American Cancer Society and how the fraud could have been prevented. What improvements did the American Cancer Society make post-fraud?  Do you have any additional suggestions for improvement? 

Who are the stakeholders in the case?  What are the possible consequences to each?  Discuss the consequences from both a legal standpoint and an ethical standpoint.  Place yourself in the role of the decision-maker.  What would you do?  How would you justify your decision?
