Career Goals

Prepare

• Review the Roadmap to Success Template, Steps 1 and 2.
• Review the Career Exploration & Planning (Links to an external site.) link on the Ashford University Career Services website.

Reflect

• Consider a career objective, long term goal, and short term goals.
• Think about your strengths and interests.
• Process through the type of employer and employer environment that you may want to be a part of.
• Consider resources or connections that may be needed to accomplish that goal.
• Consider your next steps over the next three to five months.

Write (Post an initial response by Day 3.)

• Complete the final step, Step 3, of the Roadmap to Success Template and attach it to your response.
• Share your career objective and long-term goal.
• A few short-term goals can be added that will help you reach your long-term goal and career objective.
• Include any resources needed to meet your goals.
