Career Counseling

 

The readings this week emphasized the need for multiculturally responsive services for career counseling in the postsecondary and community settings.

Consider the diverse clients that you have been serving while at RCCC and write a post that includes:

• Select a specific population and describe how a postsecondary institution or community agency can support their needs.
• Discuss the relationship between career development and mental well-being.
• Assess your own biases and describe how you will work to decrease these biases when working with diverse populations.
• Describe specific strategies you can use to decrease your biases and assumptions.
