Read essays on The Edge for the yearly big ideas.  You may use ideas from any year.  Select three that have intrigued you.  Write a rhetorical precis for each of the yearly questions choosing one response (not Brockman's introduction to the yearly question), and follow each precis with a paragraph or two explaining how the idea presented could be explored for your final research project (the Final Essay Assessment).  In total, your assignment should be no fewer than 750 words.  Use the below link.
