13: Select TWO separate persuasive presentations given (use past periodicals, books, videos, news, etc.). Identify and analyze the speaker's use of each of the following persuasive factors.  

1.   Use of evidence and logic

2.   Techniques to gain speaker credibility

3.   Appeal to the psychological needs of the listeners

Compare and contrast both of the presentations you chose using the three points listed.  Additionally, be sure to identify which presentation you believe is more persuasive. Support each claim with supporting material (discussed in Chapter 13). Be sure to cite the source of where you obtained each presentation.

Chapter 14:  

Prepare a 200 to 300 word informative report on a topic you deal with regularly. Prepare a formal report with visual aids (graphs etc.) that you would turn into your supervisor (person you report to) or to someone in charge.  Prepare this as if you are trying to to inform or to promote a better understanding of an idea or a body of related facts.  Your textbook provides a four types of reports: Feasibility report, instructive report, progress report, or a proposal. Be sure to clearly identify which one you are doing.l The textbook  provides clear outlines of each and what should be included in each type. Be sure to use this as a guide when creating your informative report.
