Your group will create a video, using the picture of the forest and trees to discuss the relationship between organizational structure and culture, and the leader’s role in aligning strategy, organizational structure, and cultu

Step 2: Address the Following Elements

Each team member will answer the following questions and then as a team discuss the responses.  You will then come to a consensus as to what information will be used to create the video.

Use the graphic presented in Step 1 to answer the following questions.

• Identify whether the forest represents the organizational structure or organizational culture, and explain why;
• Identify whether the trees represent the organizational structure or organizational culture, and explain why;
• Discuss the relationship between the forest and the trees in terms of organizational structure and organizational culture.  Explain whether one can exist without the other.  Explain why or why not.
• Explain the role of the leader in aligning strategy, organizational culture and organizational structure.
