Using the Open Educational Resources (OERs) available, including the OER Textbooks, prepare a brief PowerPoint presentation that discusses and illustrates the major steps in the criminal justice process from beginning to end. Be sure to begin with police contact-arrest and include each step all the way through to probation or parole. Reflect on what you have learned so far in your assigned readings and the discussion threads to help you get started. Be sure to include brief descriptions of the importance of each step in the process to reflect the greater importance of the criminal justice system. Consider the working relationship between law enforcement, the courts, and the correctional system as you prepare your presentation. PowerPoint Presentation Helpful Tips: · Do not include too much text on the slides. This can impact readability. Use the Notes feature to script out talking points or explain the slide in more detail. · Use the 6 x 6 rule: No more than six lines per slide, six words per line. · Think of brief points, avoid writing in a narrative style. · Use Font size and type that is legible: Arial or Calibri in no smaller than 16-point size. · Illustrations help provide meaning but should add value to what you are communicating.
