I agree with the premise that expatriates should be rewarded for going out of their home comfort zone for the betterment and strategic alignment of the organization. Sacrifice should be rewarded. As an HR practitioner, I would have no problem arguing for the same if not more wages for the expat. Here is an interesting article I found to go along with this discussion.
