Go to the What's New? section of the online National Board for Professional Teaching Standards website by clicking on the picture below.
Read over the information under What's New? and then click on the updated Middle Childhood Generalist Standards
Links to an external site.. Very little has changed except wording for literacy which moved from the term balanced to the terms researched-based. I do realize that not everyone will use the Middle Childhood Generalist area of certification; however, for ease of this assignment, please use the Middle Childhood Generalist Standards to answer the question.
