Brief on a Civil Liberties Issue

1. Go to the web site of the American Civil Liberties Union (https://www.aclu.org/). Click "Issues" from the banner.

2. Pick one of the issues to research (you will not select a main heading, but one of the sub-headings which appears when you expand the main heading). Read several articles from your chosen area of the web site. Please do not select Immigration, since we have already written on this topic this semester. 

3. Based on these several articles, write a 600-word paper in essay form which a) summarizes the issue, b) explains the position the ACLU takes on this issue and the work the organization has undertaken, and c) argues whether or not you believe the ACLU is on the right side of the issue.
