Immigration and Integration

Compose a 3-page research essay (plus bibliography) based on Immigration and Integration. You need to adopt an opinion about the specific topic and either defend this position throughout the essay or introduce the reader to the specific social and historical dimensions of the topic. Back up your arguments with at least five sources, using the MLA format for in-text citations, quotations, and the bibliography. I will be using the writing rubric listed on the syllabus to assess your essays.

Recently, immigration has been heavily debated, so it will be interesting to see how immigration and corresponding quotas were handled at the turn of the century. I would also recommend looking at the countries that represented the largest groups of immigrants and what inspired them to come to the US.
