Step Two: Now consider the role of architects and artists in relationship to community service. Identify what is unique about the Rural Studio.  Where are they located?  What University are they associated with?  Who are their clients?  What is unique about their approach?  Before watching the video, did you believe that artists or architects could affect change in their community?  What do you think about that possibility now?

For your second post, answer the following questions.  What is community service?  Have you ever performed any?  if so, what did you do?  What impact did it have?  How did you feel after having done it?  What do you think the most significant needs in our community are?  How could you help address these needs?  What resources or individuals do you think are necessary to address these issues?  Do you see a way for artists or architects to be involved with addressing one or more of the issues you have identified?
