Pick a book or film depicting an individual with disabilities. (Check if with the instructor to determine appropriateness as some movies have been disparaging).

Develop a paper (1-2 pages) that answers the following questions tells the story in an efficient manner. 

• Was the person with a disability portrayed in a positive or negative light? Describe. 

• How did you feel about the way the character(s) was depicted? Explain. 

• After seeing the film or reading the book, do you believe audiences or readers come away having a better understanding of the disability and the challenges it presents? Why or why not?
