Billy Collins Discussion - due in 16 hours

 Collins' poem "Introduction to Poetry" is about the poet's experience teaching students to interpret poems (although not very successfully). Answer each of these questions in a well-developed paragraph:

1) In your own words, describe how Collins wants the students to learn to read/interpret poetry versus how the students would prefer to go about it. Use lines from the poem to support your answers.  

2) When you read a poem, are you more like Collins or more like his students?  Explain your answer (and we promise not to judge you either way).
