Observe the teacher in person at a Bible study you attend, an adult education class at church, a small group, or a home group study. Ask the teacher/facilitator for permission to do this for your college coursework. Share with the teacher that you would like to learn from her/him and will be looking for the information below. At the end of the class, approach the teacher and give one thing you appreciated about the lesson as an encouragement for her/his ministry in your life. It is not your role to critique the teacher negatively. However, if she/he asks for suggestions for improvement, then emphasize the positive and mention only one less positive area to improve based on your MIN3218 class lectures/assignments. Be humble and learn from the other teacher. Write a two-page report of your observations of the positive traits and methods the teacher uses.
Report format:
1. Date of the lesson you observed and participated in.
2. Theme of the lesson, with Bible passage(s) that was studied.
3. Introduction: How did she/he introduce the lesson such that it caught your attention? What is one thing she/he did that you can do or do differently in introductions in your own lessons for MIN3218 assignments? Why would you do so?
4. Body: What kinds of visual and/or interactive methods did she/he use to help the group learn? What is one that you feel you can use in your own lessons for MIN3218 assignments? Why would you do so?
5. Conclusion: What did she/he do to help the group to apply the Scripture to personal life? How would you adapt this approach to use in your MIN3218 assignments
