Needs assessments are done on a regular basis as training programs are planned and budgets are set. It is very important that a proactive approach be taken when conducting needs assessments.  

Identify the types of analysis’ that take place under the proactive approach and select any one of the analysis types and (1) explain what it means, and (2) what overall benefits may be obtained by conducting the analysis.
