You will then write an explanation of the chosen text by showing the "unseen" parts of the text. What I mean by the “unseen” is that you will discuss the reasons that made the author write about a specific subject in a specific way (the author’s worldview that informs the text). If we take the example of Qutb Thought, we see that Qutb is trapped in a "Us vs. Them" logic and that he sees identity as static and unchanging, instead of something dynamic and fluid. His understanding of identity means that he fails to see valuable human aspects of the West. In other words, I would like your explanation/interpretation to go beyond the literal sense of the text.
