Objective: The purpose of this assignment is to explore and analyze regulatory agencies that play a critical role in governing health and the healthcare system within the United States. Assignment Instructions:
1. Select Five Regulatory Agencies: Identify and select five regulatory agencies that oversee health and the healthcare system in the U.S. Ensure you choose agencies at different levels of authority (local, state, and federal).
2. Agency Description: For each agency, provide a detailed description that includes:
· The name of the agency.
· The level of regulatory authority (local, state, federal).
· The scope of regulatory authority (what areas they oversee, such as public health, nursing practice, healthcare facilities, etc.).
· The agency's role within the U.S. healthcare system.
3. Relevance to FNP Graduates: Discuss the significance of each agency's authority and functions to the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) graduate. Consider how the regulations and guidelines set forth by these agencies impact your practice.
4. Specialty Area Relevance: Describe the relevance of these agencies to your specialty area, specific area of practice, or the healthcare setting in which you work or plan to work. How do the regulations of these agencies influence the delivery of care, quality standards, and patient safety in your chosen setting?
5. Formatting and Submission:
· Your paper should be 3-5 pages in length (not including title and reference pages).
· Use APA 7th edition formatting for citations and references.
· Include at least 5 scholarly references to support your analysis.
