Preparation for Residency next week is our focus; therefore, all Learners must complete the Proposed Topic paper as follows:

1. Identify a topic appropriate for applied business research in your area of specialization, which you proposed to become the basis of your dissertation research.
2. Draft a one-page APA formatted paper (title and reference pages excluded) that:
   • Assesses the current state of research of the topic (sources identified should be no more than 5 years old),
   • Constructs a context for the topic as described in the current literature that identifies critical information the reader needs to understand the business setting for the topic (sources identified should be no more than 5 years old), and
   • Formulates a reasonable and logical explanation of how the topic aligns with your specialization.
