1.     According to our textbook on page 86,  program music is a musical composition based on or alluding to a nonmusical program, usually a pictorial or literary idea, specified by the composer. 

2.      Search online for a list of orchestral works that are examples of  program music and include at least 2 examples.

3.      Select one from the 5 below:

 Haydn's String Quartet in B-flat major; Beethoven's Symphony #5; Chopin's Ballad in G Minor (Narrative Poem); Berlioz's Romeo et Juliette; Smetana's Sarka.

4.      Post a link to your selected musical work.

5.      Lastly, describe what you are hearing in the music that makes you clearly see in your mind images related to that program idea. Include key terms from page 154.

The initial post is due Thursday (midnight, est) and follow up responses are due Sunday (midnight, est)
