Read the readings and answer the two questions asked. 3 pages Total I needed 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Read all of the following primary documents:

(a) “The Anti-Slavery Convention of American Women meets in NYC, May 1837" (b) “The American Female Reform Society Warns Mothers about the 'Solitary Vice' (c) “The Seneca Falls Convention Issues a ‘Declaration of Sentiments,’ 1848” and (d) “Elizabeth McClintock and Elizabeth Cady Stanton Defend the Seneca Falls Convention, 1848” 

Note: We will be discussing these documents in class, so make sure to complete this assignment before class and also have all your notes and an accessible copy of the .pdf reading ready for class discussion. Make sure to read ALL of the documents in the .pdf for class discussions!

2) Then Answer the following questions for this assignment:

• a) What sorts of resolutions or demands did women make at the Anti-Slavery Convention in 1837? In your own words, write a list of at least 5 resolutions made at the Convention and explain why they were important in 1837.
• b) For the document, “The Seneca Falls Convention Issues a ‘Declaration of Sentiments,’ 1848”, the authors provide a long list of evidence to support their thesis that “The history of mankind is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations on the part of man toward woman, having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over her.” In your own words, write down at least 5 examples from the document and explain why you think these examples best support their thesis.
