Assignment 4) Changing the Immutable: Donella Meadows' "Biodiversity: The key to Saving Life on Earth"
Donella Meadows argues that maintaining biodiversity requires behavior changes in the organism that is responsible for its loss. Explain her argument, give a counter and foresee one possible objection to her argument. Don't forget to show how your argument overcomes this objection. Title it, double-space it, 1" margins and 12 point TNR font only (MLA format). Two full pages minimum, three full pages maximum.
Don't forget to include a fully developed outline!
Note: Meadows' paper is effectively divided into two unequal parts: the explanation of biodiversity (what it is, what it looks like, etc.), which makes up nearly the entire paper, and the behavioral suggestions (prescriptions?) found on the last page. You should focus your energy into the latter for your counter and the former for conceptual understanding.
