 Annotated Bibliography for Research Paper

Annotated Bibliography + 3 Full Text Articles

Annotated Bibliography for Research Paper

(Advance Residency Assignment assigned week prior to Residency)

Purpose:

To allow time for research of scholarly journals for the Residency Research paper.  Articles from each group will be put into a repository resulting in a collection of scholarly articles that the group can choose from (or perform other research) to form their Residency Research paper.

Provide an annotated bibliography listing at least three different authoritative, outside references suitable for use in the residency research paper.   The research articles should address three different merging trends in data analytics and business intelligence how the trend is being applied in organizations currently. To be clear, each entry to the annotate bibliography listing must be about a different emerging technology.  The content of each should be a solid 2 paragraphs long minimum. A title page should accompany the Annotated Bibliography followed by the entries.  An example of one entry for annotated bibliography is below. The three different sources must come from different Academic Journals. Submit your annotated bibliography as a Word document.   Also, you need to acquire full text or pdf copies of all articles and submit them with the annotated bibliography. You will submit the annotated bibliography along with the 3 full text articles in the same submission area with your annotated bibliography submitted first using the same submission link located in this module.  You click the link above next to the icon of the assignment to submit your work (upper left).  YOU ALSO need to upload it in your group's discussion area as noted below so it is in place for Residency research.   You need to be in your group area to do that (Click GROUPS on the left hand side menu). No further action is needed on the Group discussion area where you will also post the annotated bibiliography in the window AND upload the 3 full text articles.  The group will use these articles at RESIDENCY so it is important that they are tulltext scholarly articles from the University of Cumberland Library.  Any questions, email the professor.

The Annotated Bibliography is with 40 total points with 10 points allocated for each entry plus the annotated bibliography itself is also worth 10 points for a total of 40 points – 10 points each full text article x 3 submitted + 10 points Annotated Bibliography. All are submitted to this link as different documents with the Annotate Bibliography submitted first.

IN ADDITION:  You need to also put your Annotated Bibiography in your GROUP discussion area window. You need to enter your group and post in the designated folder I created.   And then also attach all three fulltext articles to your post there.  This is your contribution to the group's article repository for Residency.   STUDENTS NEED TO SUBMIT THE ASSIGNMENT IN BOTH AREAS.  If it is submitted in one area and not the other, then students will be deducted 15 points from their assigned grade and STILL BE REQUIRED to upload the articles when they reach the Residency classroom.

Example:( below is the annotated bibliography to an article, then you would continue with the next article you chose, culminating in three entries on the annotated bibliography with the 3 full text articles the annotated bibliography refers to)

Kambatla, K., Kollias, G., Kumar, V., & Grama, A. (2014). Trends In Big Data Analytics. Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 74(7), 2561-2573.

According to Kambatla et al in their Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, there are emergent trends in big data analytics which are interesting and worthy of consideration even as we embrace the In-Memory Data Analytics. The authors point out that data analysis is s task that is not confined in fixed deadlines but is more focused on data quality. The quality data has to be in line with the storage systems that the organization chooses, and the In-Memory Data Analytics is by far the most recommended storage option in the market. It works perfectly in Multi-tenancy environments and data-centric areas. Moreover, Kambatla et al point out to the reader that using the in-memory data analytics to store information is a sure step in the process of ensuring there is better performance through the introduction of clustered computing frameworks and the large-scale data analytics tools.

Then you would add another paragraph of how this is being applied in business to describing how the technology specifically relates with an example.
