 1.In the US, we have lived in a comparatively stable system and environment for so long, it is sometimes difficult to imagine what it takes to push a pretty comfortable and somewhat complacent society to radical action bringing about change (political or physical). In this discussion, I'd like you to begin to think about ways in which the mind of a populace can be moved in this way in the context of the Humanities (art, music, literature, film, etc.). Examples from the past or contemporary ones are most certainly welcome.

2. Documentaries are a fabulous source of information that one might not otherwise encounter. They are like a formal documented paper that have the added interest of visuals. Documentarians are often highly educated on a subject, passionate about getting the word out, personally invested in the cause...and financially broke:) Why do you think this is?

3. Provide an example from your experience visiting the National Archives to explain the relationship between philosophy and political action.
