Assignment

Research (a Web search will do) a leader, past or present. This might be a leader in business, politics, or society (see below for examples of leaders) and have impacted society in a positive way.

• Please post a commentary about the leader's life, career, and accomplishments.
• In your research, which characteristics about this leader did you see cited most often?
• Discuss how you could adopt one of these characteristics in your role at work or in your personal life.

Please respond to a minimum of two of your classmates by commenting on whether you can identify with their chosen leader and explain why or why not.

Need ideas about which leaders to research? Here's a list to get you going (but don't be limited by this): Colin Powell, Indra Nooyi, Madeleine Albright, Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, George Washington, Tony Blair, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mother Teresa, Margaret Sanger, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.

Please make sure your initial post and two required response posts are substantive. A substantive post answers the questions presented completely, asks an interesting, thoughtful question pertaining to the topic, or answers a question (in detail) posted by another student or the instructor.
