To prepare for this Discussion read the following articles: Eagan (2006); Abrams, Cross, Lesser, and Levin (2003); and Gillespie and Dietz (2009). Then respond to the following:

• Ask      the following question to four different colleagues (attempt to get a      diverse sampling) and report their response: "How do you decide who      is trustworthy at work?"
• How      does current research define trust in a team context? What inhibits trust?
• With      systems theory as your frame of reference, what roles and responsibilities      does a leader have in developing trust in the workplace?
• How      would you as a leader repair trust if it was broken in your group or      larger organizational context?
