Assignment

For this assignment look up the New Mexico Early Learning Guidelines AND the New Mexico Common Core Standards for Language and Literacy. Using these guidelines write reflection paper that answers the following questions:

1. What does emergent literacy mean to you?

2. How would you use emergent literacy to support children in the classroom? Select and identify a specific age group you are providing examples for.

3. How are your recommendations or ideas supported by the NM ELG's or NM Common Core? Please provide a minimum of two specific examples.

Minimum requirements: four paragraphs with five sentences per paragraph
