Select a different issue (from Writing Assignment 2 letter/paper assignment). Some examples of issue options include  homelessness, child welfare, discrimination, community violence, etc. What are you most concerned about? From your home  state, South Carolina read what your state policy is on your selected issue and determine what your legislation is currently doing to address this  issue. You will write a 2-3 page letter that articulates your concern, support, or opposition. Be sure to apply the core value of  community in your discussion.   Please know you are not required to mail this letter to the editor of your home newspaper. At the end of your letter, briefly discuss  (1 paragraph) what contributions to and/or limitations of research in public decision making.
