We are living in what is referred to as the “Technological Age”. With the first mass production of computers by IBM in 1981 (IBM 5150) the world was forever changes. Many of you have never lived in a world without computers or cell phones. Unfortunately many of the world’s citizens have little knowledge of the technology that runs many of our lives. We even have a term for it ‘Cultural Lag’. Do some research and tell me who suffers the most from cultural lag and why. What are some of the long term effects of this phenomenon?

Remember to include statistics where relevant. Try organizations like the United Nations the World Health Organization, the Red Cross to gather information.

Then using the search engines through the library or googlescholar, do some research!
