Assessment Title
Annotated bibliography
Task Description
Fatigue has a wide range of impacts on physiological and psychological performance that in turn can impact workplace safety and long-term health and well-being. Choose a specific work task (such as driving a train, or operating a lathe) and identify five work or non-work related factors that can contribute to fatigue. For each factor, find a relevant scientific journal article, and describe what the article means in terms of the impacts of fatigue on the chosen work task, and/or potential strategies to reduce fatigue-related risk for that work task. Write a short summary that draws the evidence from each of the citations together.
Your annotated bibliography should be approximately 2000 words.
Assessment Criteria
You will be assessed on your knowledge of the topic including identification of factors that contribute to fatigue, quality of scientific evidence sourced in support of argument, ability to critically analyse literature and apply to real-world contexts, and clear communication.
The rubric will be available on moodle.

3 Online discussion forum
Assessment Title
Online discussion forum
Task Description
The online discussion forum assessment requires you to write SIX posts. TWO original posts (one on each of the discussion topics) and FOUR response posts (responding to two of your peers' posts in each of the forums).
You can write your original posts at any time. You will not be able to see posts from other students on a given topic until 15 minutes after posting your own. You have until Week 12 to complete all SIX posts. Each original and response post should be 400-600 words not including bibliography.
**Just write this two for now!! After posting these two response I can get other 4topics
Discussion topic 1 - Some organisations view fatigue as something that should be managed by the individual. Drawing from the literature and your professional or personal experience where appropriate, discuss the importance of the concept of shared responsibility for fatigue risk management.
Discussion topic 2 - The focus of fatigue risk management has traditionally been on reducing errors and incidents in the workplace but research shows that shift work impacts health outcomes as well. Drawing from the literature and your professional or personal experience where appropriate, discuss why you think long term health impacts have not been a focus, and what can organisations do to address this issue?

1 Assessment of positive psychology interventions
Assessment Type
Written Assessment
Task Description
In Assessment 1, you will choose an applied real-world setting (e.g., a workplace, older persons’ residential care, a school) or group (e.g., new mothers, people experiencing illness) and detail in an essay the implementation of a positive psychology intervention, for example, gratitude practice, increasing self-compassion, in that setting or for that group. You will examine in your essay contextual factors involved in implementing the intervention and ways to measure and document change in participants and the setting in which the intervention is applied.
You will consider:
· Why is this intervention a good fit for your target audience and setting? That is, how does the intervention address an identified issue in the chosen setting/group?
· What is the evidence to support the efficacy of the chosen intervention? Is the evidence strong for the use of this intervention in your chosen setting or for your chosen group, or does the use of the intervention make good sense based on the identified issue(s) and expected outcomes of the intervention?
· What type of research design might you use to assess the efficacy of the intervention and to evaluate change? Consider what quantitative (e.g., specific measurement scales) or qualitative (e.g., semi-structured interviews, focus groups) approaches you could implement to determine whether positive changes have occurred and justify their use (e.g., validity, reliability).
· How would you administer the intervention? Use literature to consider factors such as length of intervention, types of exercises implemented, and types of participants included.
· Are there any practical issues you need to consider when implementing the intervention in your chosen setting? For example, might an existing intervention need to be modified for your setting or for your target audience? What might be some considerations when implementing the intervention with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples? For example, cultural appropriateness of the intervention, any delivery modifications needed, and how results might be evaluated.
· Maximum word count: 2500 words (+/- 10%). This word limit includes in-text citations but excludes any reference section. Meeting the word count is included as a part of the marking criteria in your marking rubric on Moodle. See the Psychology Word Count Information document on Moodle for a rationale for using this type of word limit restriction. Further task details will be available on the unit Moodle site.
Assessment Criteria
You will be assessed on:
The rationale for, and relevance of, the chosen intervention
Rationale for your choice of evaluation approach, including specific quantitative and/or qualitative approaches to examine positive change using appropriate peer-reviewed literature
Formulation of how the positive psychology intervention would be implemented in the chosen applied setting Discussion of considerations for how the positive psychology intervention might be implemented with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Quality of your written communication, including correct APA referencing and adherence to word count.
Your use of appropriate, peer-reviewed and reputable sources will be assessed across all marking criteria.
Detailed information regarding assessment requirements and criteria for assessment can be found in the Unit and Assessment Guide on Moodle.
