Assess Your Leadership Style

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) tells a story about your personality or the personality of your colleagues. It can be a useful tool for identifying your personality traits, in both your work and personal life.

For this Discussion, you will take a simplified Myers-Briggs assessment and relate it to your organizational leadership style.

To prepare for this Discussion:

• Complete the following self-assessment.

Post your personality type to the Discussion area (e.g., INFP, ESTJ).

• How does your Myers-Briggs personality type relate to your leadership style?
• What leadership theory do you think you would apply to leading an organization or department? Why? Be sure your answer relates to your Myers-Briggs personality type.

Provide two examples of situations that you might encounter in an organization and how, with respect to your score and one of the above theories, you would be likely to handle the situation.
