Asian Animation Film Research Paper

The final paper should be 6-7 pages long or at least 1,500 words long. Please turn in a paper that is typed, double-spaced, and uses a regular font no larger than 12 points, with margins no larger than one inch.  

For this paper, you will discuss an Asian Animation film – Princess Mononoke (Miyazaki Hayao, 1997) 

Here, besides looking at this film, in terms of how it might fit into the director’s themes, styles, and preoccupations, but also will need to talk about the circumstances of its production, or consider the film in relation to how it does (or does not) follow some historical relation to some of the themes and topics we have discussed in class, these areas could include as the circumstances of its production, national politics, how the film views its country or people, what genre it fits into, the political or economic circumstances under which it was made and what its  intended audience was.
