Artist name is Cindy Sherman 

STEP 3: Choose artwork(s) and begin research. 

Once the artist is assigned, the student chooses 3-5 artworks by this artist to show the scope of the artist’s body of work (no analysis required).

Next chooses a single artwork by their artist, made within the last 10 years, and analyzes that one artwork. 

ALL ANALYSES focus on the 5 to 10 year period ending with the date artwork was made.

STEP 4: Research your artist and the one artwork that is your analysis focus.

Gather all the required information for artist’s short biography, label information for the focus artwork, formal analysis of focus art work, contextual and stylistic analysis, theme and content.
