Article Critique

Respond to the questions appropriately and completely.

1. How would you re-write the abstract based on what was presented in the article?
2. How many citations are presented in the first paragraph? In the introduction?
3. What are the dependent variables? How were these used in the analysis?
4. Is the sample representative? Can it be generalized to the broader population?  How would you sample this study if you had no restrictions on resources?
5. How did the authors test reliability of the survey?
6. What was the response rate? How would you improve the response rate?
7. What are qualitative variables? How are they used in this study?
8. Do you agree with the race/ethnicity categorization? How would you group these individuals differently?
9. What was the hypothesis or research question of the article?
10. Did the authors answer this question definitively? Why or why not?
