Art Assignment

Search for information about Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s projects and write a two-page description of either Running Fence, The Umbrellas, or The Gates. Your search can be on the Internet, in the library, in the video store, or along any other avenue that leads you to information. When writing your paper think about how the artists are using the space in which their projects are placed. What happens to space with their work is a very important aspect of what they are doing. Also try to analyze how an engagement with space corresponds to an engagement with time (in the Christos’ projects and with any sculpture).
