Argument Analysis and Comparison

 In a 4-5 page paper, you will select two readings from the course and compare how they create arguments. You will analyze the effectiveness of the different argumentative approaches. Once you have selected your articles, write an essay that identifies the rhetorical situation of the articles and analyzes the argumentative strategies and appeals used to create persuasive meaning. Your intended audience is someone who has seen your chosen articles, but has not thought in depth about it. You should adopt a formal, but engaging tone/ethos. Your purpose is to make an argument about an articles’ purpose/message and target audience and to analyze how it achieves its purpose and reaches its target audience either effectively or ineffectively through rhetorical strategies.
