Topic: Social Media (Negative or Positive)

1. Freewrite on the negative and positive effects of social media, Use this writing for the development of your essay.

2. Take a stance. Decide if you will argue whether social media has a negative or  positive influence.Do not arguefor both. Choose your audience.

3. In the Introduction, develop a thesis statement that you will defend in your paper. Make sure the thesis is one sentence with at least two focuses to develop. For example, social media has a negative influence on users because of its violent content and influential advertising. Please note that this is an example-only.

4. Develop an essay of 2 pages mimimum, 3 pages maximum. 12 font, double-space, Times New Roman. Introduction, Body, and Conclusion. Word document-only.

5. Your thesis should be supported by details and examples that you provide.
