Assignment #1 Position Paper on Competencies for Global Leadership (Due: 10/30/2026

  Note: All assignments are expected to be original work; follow the APA 7th format; and include a cover page. 

A position paper concisely presents and describes the state of facts about a complex issue or topic. It is an informational paper based on current research. Conduct a review of the literature regarding Global Leadership Practice and Needs. Include Mendenhall et all chapters in your review. Identify at least five sources with information about competencies considered critical and relevant to become global leaders.

Include the following in your position paper:

· Introduction

· Defining what is global leadership

· Description about the need for addressing global leadership

· Discussion on the key competencies global leaders would need. Include a minimum of 5 competencies and support your selections with supporting references (i.e., at least to relevant primary sources).

· Describe why they are important

· Choose one of the competencies and discuss its relevancy from a leader’s perspective

· Suggestions for becoming an effective leader global leader  

· Conclusion

Your paper must be 5 pages long, not counting the title and reference page(s). It must include a minimum of five (5) scholarly references to support your arguments. Supporting sources should be current (i.e., published within the last 5 years).
