Go to http://www.understandingrace.org/ and take the sports quiz (lived experience lens, then sports quiz). Answer one of the following question.(one page double space)

1. "Which of the answers from the quiz was the most surprising to you? Why?"  Remember, the role of race may not be limited to physiological attributes so think carefully about whether, and if so, how race contributes to ideas of sports in the western world.

2. Discuss how ethnic concepts of race play a role in any of the recent current (or political) events happening in the U.S., such as attempts to reform our immigration policy or the events that occurred in Ferguson, Missouri, which led to the Black Lives Matter movement.

3. Provide an example of structural/institutional racism/violence that happened to you or someone you know.

4. Begin a new thread based on a topic from chapter 6 or 7 that is not related to the threads above.

5. Discuss a different topic from the understandingrace.org website.
