Renal Physiology: Find the mode of action of a diuretic drug
This lab report is for you to reflect on what you completed and learned in this simulation, and to practice your written scientific communication skills. Include enough detail to clearly describe the lab experience to someone who understands the concepts but has yet to participate in the simulation. Use correct scientific terminology whenever applicable.

4. Describe any obtained results.
Explain all obtained results. Were these results expected or unexpected?

If differences were observed between the treatment and control groups, provide specific details regarding the observed differences (including numerical values when appropriate). Provide results as complete sentences.

Ion Absorption Experiment: · Interpret the ion absorption experiment results presented below by explaining how measuring the rate of reabsorption when various ions were removed helped to determine the mechanism by which Drug X acts. Provide this information as complete sentences in the space below.

5. Discuss the conclusions and implications.
How do your results relate back to the original purpose and your hypothesis? What systematic sources of error could have affected the results? What did you learn?

For your entry make sure to include the following: · Include a statement that briefly summarizes how the key results of the simulation relate to your original purpose and hypothesis. Be sure to include an explanation for how the data provide evidence that Drug X has a specific mode of action, and how you were able to rule out other mechanisms. · Include a statement that details any systematic sources of error you identified that could have affected the results. If the lab did not have any systematic sources of error, include a statement that acknowledges the possible errors in the lab. For example, if a lab requires observation through a microscope, a possible systematic error could be human interpretation of their observations. · Include statements about 2–3 important ideas that you learned from the simulation.
