In a 2-3 page response, describe an assumption the author makes and analyze how this assumption works in her argument. For example, how does the assumption support her argument or purpose—or limit it? In other words, what did she miss by making this assumption? Finally, pose a counterargument to the assumption and why you disagree with what she said. Use specific evidence or examples from the NGM article (or other sources) to support the counterargument and your position. You may also comment on evidence that Olson ignored or discarded.
